Day 2 at the L'Abitabi
Day 2 at the race and it was the easy ride in the morning and then a team presentations before the street sprints. Kaleb was the team racer and won his heats and then in the last qualifier and the guy in 3rd said Kaleb moved over blocking his advancement and it appeared he had not but the UCI official said he did and Kaleb was relegated to 2nd and did not make the final as he still had not gone all out and would had won the show. I feel bad for Kaleb but now it is time for the real racing to start and I hope the boys take the frustration out in the road racing. After the races we took the kids laundry so we could get it washed so they have clean clothes for more racing and hanging around. Now it is time to relax before the real racing starts. Later,,

Ready for a road trip
Bikes are ready, kits are clean and packed, spare underwear are packed along with the other things we need and don't need for the trip to Amos, Quebec. This is Nate's 2nd trip there to race the http://www.tourabitibi.qc.ca/?lang=en. It is a UCI Jr 17-18 yr old road stage race. It has racers from all over the world and it will for sure be a fast and fun race again. Last year Nate made it to the finish in the main group and is hoping for more of the same. So if the internet is a bust you can follow some of the stages on line as there will be a link to live broadcast on the link above once the racing starts. You can also check daily for the results of Nate, Peter, Kaleb, Max, Joe and Matt. Well here is to some fun time for the next 19 hours in the truck. Oh yeah this should be a fun trip as we are taking Fixxie with us too. Later...

State crit
The ISCorp break.
Nate at the front of the break.
Gage keeping the chase in check during the race.
Peter driving the pace in the team time trail formation in the race.
The victory formation across the line.
\
Kevin with the win, Max 2nd and Nate 3rd.
It was a nice day and a great course for the state crit. Wish a few more of the Jr racers would show up and race but that is their choice as they miss a lot of good racing. But in the end the ISCorp Jr racers got a break started on the 1st lap and kept the pedals turning and they turned it into a 5 man team time trial. In the end Kevin took the win and then Max was 2nd, Nate was 3rd, Peter was 4th, Matt turned in a 5th and Joe was 6th and I think Gage took 7th. A great sweep and a great team racing as always.
Then last night it was a nice visit with the Rodgers family as they were in town from their new home in Indiana. I do miss riding and racing with John and wish he were around here racing his bike again. Maybe some day it will happen.
Then today was a nice 2:45 in the saddle enjoying the weather and company. I have to thank Billy and Doug, Mike, Katie and Randy for all that they are doing for the ISCorp jr kids and do have to say thanks as it would not be happening with out you guys. Now it is time to go to the church festival for a few beverages after a great day on the bike. Later..

Riding with Professional Cyclist Michael Barry from Team SKY
Today thanks to Billy Jones some of the ISCorp jr cyclists and myself got to do a training ride with professtional cyclist Michael Barry from Team SKY. He is in town wife his wife and family for a break before his next race. His wife Dede Demet is from Milwaukee so they came in for a visit. Billy ran into them at Alterra the other day and has riden with them a few times and arranged a ride today for the Jr raiders. It was a nice ride up to Port Washington and back. It was a nice pace as Michael and Billy spent the most at the front making it a brisk but very comfortable pace for us as we got to sit in. But being 108 on the road it was a hot box sitting in and at times the sweat was pouring off like a faucet. But in the end it was a great ride and Michael is very cool guy and easy going. Thanks Billy for making it happen and Michael Barry for letting us hang on. Good luck the rest of the year Michael. Later..

ToAD series update.
Nate took a 3rd place in the Fond Du Lac race. With the 3rd place finish he moved into a 3 way tie for first. All 3 on the boxes were then tied for 1st out of the 50 racers in the series.
Nate took the win in the ISCorp Downer ave race. Nate had this race on his radar all year and said that he wanted to win the race or have one of the ISCorp kids win.
Here are the ISCorp Jr racers that showed the other teams from around the country how the ISCorp jr team does it. Awesome job guys we are so proud of you.
Nate took a 3rd place today and that meant he took the overall for the series. He was the only racer to make the top 3 everyday and the work that his team put in to make sure he was there was just amazing and awesome. The cool thing was that Nate won the Jr overall last year and he was able to do it again.
Here is Nate after getting the overall yellow jersey and Peter taking the 3rd place. What a awesome job done by the Jr ISCorp team.
Here are some of the other top 3 racers and Billy Jones. Billy is the one that man that made it happen as his company sponsored the jr series the last 2 years. Without Billy the jr series would not happen so a HUGE thanks to you Billy for making this possible.
Nate and Peter after getting their awards. Awesome job guys.
Here is a picture of the awesome overall award that Mike Froh made for everyone. Great job Mike and thanks.

Nate's first race's of ToAD
After a few days to recover and get his bearings back from the Nationals trip it was time to toe the line at the Tour of America's Dairyland race in Sheboygan. First up was the Jr race that was nice to see a larger field for once, there was 44 racers in the race. The race was off to a bad start as in turn 2 of the first lap there was a crash that took a few racers out. Then they stopped the race to get a few loaded up into the rescue squad for a trip to the hospital for a check up. Good news was that they are all ok. Then there was a bunch of attacks during the rest of the race and with the temps around 100 degrees the racers looked tired and Nate just sat in and waited till the end. There was afield sprint finish and he took 2nd in the 17-18 yr olds. Then after a few hours to recover Nate was back on the bike in the cat 2/3 race. Again it was like 98 degrees and this time there was 98 racers at the start. Nate sat in and moved up and then back to the middle and then moved up to the top 10 for the final lap. He was boxed in and then had to move out and got a spot and finished 7th in the cat 2/3 race. More racing tomorrow in Fon Du Lac. Later..

National update
It was a brutal Nationals for the kids last week. They went in with some high hopes as they trained hard and were well prepared from the programs that Doug and Scott set up. Simon had a great week and got some awesome results in his races. Then the big boys went out and they were caught in crashes in both the crit and road race that took them out of any chances of doing well. Nate and Peter both ended up with broken bikes and busted carbon wheels again. It is all a part of racing and we are moving on and getting ready for the next races which are the ToAD races and then the l'Abitabi. The good thing is that the boys are ok and it seems that Max's wrist should be ok after crashing yesterday from what I heard from Nate. More later when I talk to Nate when he gets home. Later..
