They killed it

The kids cleaned and cut up the pumpkins last night as I cleaned and roasted the seeds. As always it is a mess and fun at the same time. The seeds turned out perfect and I have already eaten way to many. I always soak the seeds and clean them up, then add the Kosher salt and let them soak for a few minutes. Then drain them and then put on pans, then sprinkle more salt over the top of the seeds and cook at 250 for about 2 hours. Perfect. Later..

WORS Banquet

Nate and I are at the Sentry World Arena for the awards banquet. We got on the road about 1 and made it in 2 1/2 hours. We were able to get a nice spin in this morning before hitting the road and now we get to sit around for a few hours and then hit the road again to get home for the cross race tomorrow. That should be a blast if the weather holds to be true. Looking forward to all the costumes. My parents just pulled up to get the radiator I got them for the truck. Later..

Night riding

I would post the pictures I got but I'm to lazy to down load them on the computer upstairs. I'm sitting here in my reclianer on the lap top and watching the World Series. The ride was a blast and a perfect pace. I'm done racing for a while till the BMX racing starts in a few weeks and I just want to ride for fun now. The Beechwood was a blast and now just the Night race next weekend but I ride it for fun and the beers after. The Tosa trails were dry and in great shape tonight. We asked Bubba to rake the leaves off the trails and he said he would get right on it. I hope he has the them cleared by next weeks ride. Great time and we will be riding again next Thursday from the bridge in downtown Tosa just off State St. See you there. Later..

Lucky dogs

Today I count us very lucky. The girls had a LICE issue at their school. Jessie's class was the only class that did not have any kids that had lice. Maddie on the other hand had 8 of classmates that had to go home because they did have the lice. The principal was contemplating calling school tomorrow as just about 1/3 the kids in the school did have lice. Nice just what I don't want in the house. In the past there has been a time or 2 when this has happened and the kids have never gotten them so I hope our luck continues. Cece did pick up some RID just in case something does appear in the next day or so. She will be checking the heads each morning and night though to insure that they stay clean. Oh well, see you at the night ride tomorrow at the Tosa bridge at 6pm. Later..

Back at it

Today was an early start to have a meeting at work which meant an early finish for the day. It was actually a good one and I felt I didn't waste a morning sitting listening to the bosses say do more with less. A few of the state meat inspectors came in and talked about the different regulations that apply to their job. Good questions and answers about meat packing and preparations and then the sale of fresh raw meat to the public. Be assured that the meat packing plants in Wisconsin are doing a good job. Then it was back to the same old grind for the rest of the day.

Then I got home and did a nice and easy spin and lifted weights. The legs were still tight from racing and then spending 3 hours cutting and then digging up the canni lilies over the weekend. I also need to get the lights on the charger to have them ready for a night ride. I don't know if I can make it for one tomorrow but Nate and I will be at the Tosa night ride on Thursday night. We are looking forward to a nice night ride on the Tosa trails. Then tonight I have a school board meeting and Cece has her first indoor soccer game. I bet she is super sore tomorrow. I'm going to quickly rake the leaves before Cece has dinner ready. Later..

Recap

Here are a few pictures that Barb took at the Beechwood yesterday and a few I popped off. There are also a few from the Sheboygan race that Cece took before the battery died in the camera last weekend.

Also I got the report from Jeremey yesterday and the Jr.'s kicked some butt. Gage got his 1st win in the cross season taking a flyer in the 1st lap and holding the gap on Thompson and Nate and Mitch. Nate then rolled in for 3rd and Mitch in 4th. After a great rib dinner that Jeff got for the boys they were at it again today. Nate took 1st, Gage 2nd and Mitch 3rd. Wow what can you say? These kids love riding and racing. Another great weekend of racing for the kids. Thanks again Jeff for taking care of the kids for the weekend.

Today I got the canni lilies cut down and dug up. The leaves raked and then Jessie's soccer game in this afternoon. What a different game watching 6 and 7 year olds chasing the ball around. They lost again but they were all smiling afterwards so that was good.

I will post the other pictures from the Beechwood later this week. Now I'm going to watch the rest of the Packer game. Later..

I didn't stop to drink my beer. I did a track stand slammed and was done in about 3 seconds. That is how you get it done.
Kevin nursing his beer, I think he was trying to talk Amy into drinking it tell you the truth. She didn't fall for it.
Jerry drinking one of his and I think he was drunk after his 3 beers.
Doug putting one down.
Russell putting back on the glasses after his beer and brownie.
Ray chilling after the race.
This guy here fell off the log bridge hit his face, knocked himself out. He had a good cut that needed stitches but decided that duct tape would make things good. I don't know how many beers he had but he was still drinking when I left.
This is how each race started, a shotgun that sounded like a cannon, awesome.
Barb drinking her beer on her 1st lap.
Barb pre race.

The punks at the start of the Sheboygan race.
Sam making the hill and getting his 5 bucks. What a great job as I have never made it.
Gage getting to the top and remounting.
Barb is all smiles as she knows it is all down hill from there.
Anne getting back on after the climb. That's all for now. Later..
